Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Cindy Aamlid
Professor of Sociology
Dr. Aamlid’s education includes a PhD in Sociology from South Dakota State University (2007), an MS in Family Resource Management from Iowa State University (1988), and a BS in Home Economics Education from South Dakota State University (1985). The courses she has taught at SMSU include Introduction to Sociology, Marriage and Family, Social Problems, Gender Issues, Sociology of Deviant Behavior, Theory, Social Stratification, Senior Capstone, The Culture of Consumption. Her hobbies include reading, sewing, and hiking with her family.
