Faculty Spotlight: Dr. David Sturrock
Dr. Sturrock has vast experience as a Southwest Minnesota State University professor since 2000. He was also an associate professor of political science at SMSU from 1996 to 2000. Previously, he was an assistant professor at SUNY Brockport from 1993 to 1996.
His awards include the Outstanding Public Service Award from the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities and the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Sturrock also received a $20,000 grant from the Southwest Minnesota Foundation to fund the Southwest Minnesota Poll, an ongoing regional public opinion survey.
Dr. Sturrock’s current public service roles include Chairman of the Marshall Transportation Group and Board of Directors member for the Minnesota Transportation Alliance.
