Curriculum Details

The online bachelor’s degree in finance from SMSU is designed to be completed in four years of full-time study.

The curriculum features a comprehensive business core, specialized finance coursework, and two concentration options. Choose from Corporate Finance or Financial Planning and Investments to align your degree to your future goals. If you do not wish to pursue a concentration, you can select a general program by choosing from a range of career-focused electives.

Throughout your studies, you will complete a combination of hands-on coursework, applied projects, and an optional internship to build valuable experience. Depending on your chosen concentration, you can graduate with the credentials to pursue certifications like the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM®).

In every online finance course, you will learn from faculty with relevant professional experience and academic expertise to ensure the skills you gain reflect the latest industry trends and best practices. Upon program completion, you will be prepared to excel in a dynamic, global business environment.
