Online Master's in Physical Education in Sports Coaching Courses

Curriculum Details

The two-year master’s in physical education in sports coaching program combines the science of sport with practical coaching strategies to help you become a more effective leader. Courses are 16 weeks in duration, with summer courses lasting nine weeks. This program includes two advanced practicums; the number of required practicum hours depends on whether you enroll in practicum courses for one or two credits.

Through courses in coaching theory, sport psychology, athlete development, leadership, performance enhancement, and evidence-based decision-making, you’ll learn how to motivate athletes, foster positive team cultures, and support performance both on and off the field. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the physical, mental, and social factors that contribute to athletic success while developing tools you can apply immediately in real-world coaching settings.
